1:: What am I most proud of this year?
2:: How can I become a better designer?
3:: Where am I feeling stuck?
The friend department, making friends is hard. Check out my post on the things I’ve been afraid to publish if you’d like to read more about that.
4:: Where do I need to allow myself grace?
Sometimes I worry too much about what others think of me or what I think everyone expects me to do.
5:: What lessons have I learned?
If I keep working towards something, it will eventually happen. Right when I was about to give up finding a job, I got one and it was even in my degree.
6:: What did my finances look like?
Amazing, at least compared to the first 21 years of my life, I really never had a constant income before this year.
7:: How have I taken care of my body this year?
8:: How have I procrastinated?
9:: In what ways can I re-structure my time?
Go to bed earlier and spend less time on YouTube and Netflix.
10:: How have I allowed the fear of failure to hold me back?
Not going to certain events while I was still in school because I was too shy and nervous.
11:: When have I felt the most alive?
Walking around Italy without my parents and just being able to do whatever I wanted to do, without boundaries. Especially the trip to Cinque Terre where just the students went and planned the whole thing.
12:: Do you have a list of goals for the next year?
Work on making my blog bigger and start doing freelance work.
13:: What are you most looking forward to in 2014?
Just any amazing adventures that might happen, hopefully I’ll end up a YouTube event and cross things off of my bucket list.
14:: My resolutions for 2014!
– Get a custom blog domain – No more blogspot.com! I’m working on this one right now. Should I use emilyfinta.com or designsbyemily.com? It’s too hard to decide!
– Become a freelance designer and get at least 3 clients
– Actually Start Getting in Shape unlike I did for 2013
– Become Friends/Get to Know more bloggers
– Collaborate with other Bloggers
– Visit New York
– Make some friends and possibly finally get a boyfriend.
*Some of these goals are ones from last year that I didn’t do but would still like to work on. 🙂
These are such awesome questions! I love the question, “when have I felt most alive?” it’s such a good one to think about. And awesome goals, Emily! I’ve been wanting to get my own domain name too. Maybe that will happen this year!
Wishing you all the luck for your goal and a happy new year!
xo, gina
Such an exciting year! I also graduated this year…that’s a much bigger life change than I realized it would be. Great questions! Best of luck for 2014!
