I started realizing I wasn’t doing anything with my yearly goals while writing my halfway through the post so this month I’m really trying to start making things happen in July! I didn’t end up getting most of my goals in June done because I took an unexpected blogging break for a couple of weeks. I had a bunch of setbacks with WordPress which are slowly starting to work themselves out and the best thing for me to do was to step back for a while. I’m super excited for July and ready to get my butt in gear and start making things happen.
START PROMOTING MYSELF AS A DESIGNER – FAIL – Not going to lie, I didn’t even touch this one.
LAUNCH MY NEWSLETTER – FAIL – Didn’t touch this one either, it’s going to be a goal for this month.
READ SAINT ANYTHING & EXTRAORDINARY MEANS – DONE! – The only goal I actually accomplished this month. This might not seem like a huge accomplishment, but a couple months ago I would rarely even read one book in a month.
MAKE SNAPCHAT STORIES – FAIL – I really have no idea what to put in my SnapChat stories. I mean all I do it work 5 days a week and then come home & blog. I think I’m just going to hold off on SnapChat until my life gets a little more interesting and work more on other social media platforms because I haven’t been doing so well with them lately.
I just got some new eye brushes yesterday, I wouldn’t have gotten them since I didn’t do too great on my goals. but I needed to spend 12 more dollars on Sephora to get free shipping so I decided to get them. May’s incentive still hasn’t happened since June was so busy but I’m hoping sometime this weekend, I have all my supplies!
IMPLEMENT MY BLOG IDEAS – I’ve had a few ideas for my blog and this month is the time to start making them happen. I don’t want to say too much right now but one will be a one-time thing and the other will be monthly! I really can’t wait to share them with you though!
UPDATE MY PAGES – My pages aren’t very well written and some of them need a little more content. I tried to get them done before I launched my WordPress blog, but I kept putting it off because it’s harder to talk just about myself. Once I get the content written I’m going to have someone help me refine them and make sure they flow nicely.
LAUNCH MY NEWSLETTER – Since I failed at this last month, it’s back on my list again!
START PROMOTING MYSELF AS A DESIGNER – Another repeat from last month!
BRAINSTORM PASSIVE INCOME IDEAS – I recently purchased XO Sarah’s new eBook all about passive income and I really want to get some steady income through my blog. Since I’m not doing very well at promoting myself as a designer I’m not really gaining any clients. I’d love to start saving up a little more money for when I get my own apartment.
APPLY TO JOBS – Time to actually start applying to jobs. I don’t know why this one makes my so nervous, but still really excited at the same time.
COMPLETE MY CHECKLIST – I started making a checklist on Saturday of all the things I want to do with my blog. It consists of posts, the blog ideas I mentioned before, a giveaway I’m planning, my goals for this month & a few other things I’ve been putting off doing with my blog. Some are easy while others will take a while to complete.
If When I complete my goals for the month, I’m going to invest in an (online) personal trainer. I’m going to be working at doing more exercise on my own, but I feel like I really need someone to help push me. The reason behind the trainer being online is because I hate working out in front of people and I’d rather just work with someone online instead. If you know anyone let me know!
Great goals for this month! Good luck!
Thank you! 🙂
These are great goals!
Thank you! Do you have any goals for the month?
I always feel so awkward writing about myself in the about me section of my blog! I didn’t even know about online personal trainers!
I know! I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels that way, definitely super awkward.
If you check out the blog Honey I’m Home, she has a personal trainer who does training via online & she gave out his info in one of her recent blog posts!
Good luck with your goals 🙂
I will definitely check her out, thanks for sharing! 🙂
Just stopping by for the first time as part of the new blog tribe! I too have been working on starting a newsletter for my blog, but real life events keep pushing my launch date back. It’s hard to stay on track sometimes, but writing it all down really helps me stay accountable!
Glad to have you, you should hear from us soon with details, going to do some planning with Erica tomorrow! 🙂 Writing things down helps me a lot too!
